She trained initially by completing a nine month teacher training program in 2003 with Ron Reid in Toronto, Canada (Yoga Alliance RYT 250). She was then compelled to travel to the source; the Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India.
Between 2004 and 2010 Dorion has spent 14 months studying with the founder Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath. Dorion´s playful, energetic and informed approach to teaching encourages students to expand their connection with the body, mind and spirit. She approaches teaching with a clear understanding of anatomy from her years of training as a dancer and sees each student as a unique practitioner.
Passionate about helping people begin and sustain their Yoga journey, she gives students the tools needed to cultivate a healthy and self sufficient practice.
Since 2005, Dorion has been conducting classes, mysore programs and workshops in Asia and Europe and is currently based in Paris, France.
