Dorion has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for ten years and teaching for the past six years. She attended her first Ashtanga Yoga class in 2000 and within a short time she noticed the dynamic practice initiated a profound transformation physically, emotionally and mentally.

She trained initially by completing a nine month teacher training program in 2003 with Ron Reid in Toronto, Canada (Yoga Alliance RYT 250). She was then compelled to travel to the source; the Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India.

Between 2004 and 2010 Dorion has spent 14 months studying with the founder Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath. Dorion´s playful, energetic and informed approach to teaching encourages students to expand their connection with the body, mind and spirit. She approaches teaching with a clear understanding of anatomy from her years of training as a dancer and sees each student as a unique practitioner.

Passionate about helping people begin and sustain their Yoga journey, she gives students the tools needed to cultivate a healthy and self sufficient practice.

Since 2005, Dorion has been conducting classes, mysore programs and workshops in Asia and Europe and is currently based in Paris, France.

Dorion discovered the Ashtanga yoga system in 2001.  This unique practice had a powerful impact on her and initiated a profound change. Shortly thereafter she chose to put her career in film and television on hold to devote herself to the study of Ashtanga yoga.

After completing an extensive training program in Ashtanga yoga with Ron Reid, she felt compelled to travel to the source; the Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India. Between 2004 and 2007 Dorion spent sixteen months studying with the founder Shr K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, R. Sharath.

Inspired by a genuine desire to share the techniques that transformed her life, Dorion began teaching the Ashtanga Vinyasa system in 2003. Since 2005, she has been teaching classes, various intensive courses and mysore programs throughout Asia and Europe. She also assisted Matthew Sweeney on his international workshop tour for more than a year.

Dorion teaches in an inspired, informed and energetic way approaching the practice with a clear understanding of anatomy and alignment. Passionate about helping people sustain their yoga journey she gives students the tools to cultivate a healthy and self-sufficient practice.
